Best war series ever was Dads Army. I think the GK could do with the introduction of a character like Pvt. Godfrey to make it more realistic.

Another "one to watch" by all accounts is "Kings" with Al Swearengen / Lovejoy / Sexy Beast gay gangstar Ian Mcshane. It's a modern day take on the King David tale with Ian as the King.

Underbelly was pretty shit imho, Tumble. With the true story line it has it could have been brilliant. If the HBO writers had got hold of it for instance, it could have been a master piece.

Actually apart from Sport, Australians are pretty much shit at all the remaining arts.

I remember 'Oz' from fucking years ago. Also had a few Brits in it.
On late at night but was top fucking drawer and different to anything
else on at the time on TV.
Just finished series 1 of The WIre and after initially having trouble
understanding the fickung dialogue, it grew on me and for me, is
the only thing close to The Sopranos.

Those HBO cunts know a thing or two about top quality TV. Rome is
also a corking watch.

Bang on with Lost Joe, but after investing so much time on seasons 1-4 you have to stick with it for the remaining 25 or so episodes to see what it was all about.

I've really enjoyed Heroes series 3. Don't know if the second half has started showing in the UK, but it's been very good so far.

I've stuck with Lost this far, and will see it out as it hasn't got long to go, but it's gone absolutely daft now.

And day 7 of 24 has been brilliant after the stinking pile of doo-doo that was day 6

After "The Wire" "Dexter" was the next best thing I have watched recently.
Any half decent British TV drama gets shifted off to Hollywood and turned into a feature film. State of Play and Edge of Darkness are out soon ala Traffic a few years back.

lost surpassed itself last night, after polar bears in the sub-tropics, black smoke monsters and time shifting now dead people are coming back to life.

Heroes season 2 was utter wank, season 3 is better and more confusing but it did have ali larter in lingerie so its worth sticking with just for that
