I've got a 42 inch LCD, looks quite good in the living room. Cost a fucking stack of money about 2 years ago but nowadays the same model is free with a
packet of Cheerios. I dont need to worry about the cost of a HDMI cable because the fucking HDMI socket is fucking fucked (as I've mentioned) and no cunt
can offer any better advice than "buy a new telly". I dont do too well with TVs. I bought a 42 inch Plasma as well when the only people I knew had
Plasmas were on MTV Cribs and had 16 bedrooms, heartshaped beds and garages the size of the O2 for all their Hummers and Bentleys. Extended warrantly Sir?
"Nah, fuck that mate, I'm fine"..... 12 months, 2 weeks and "pop" great sound, no picture, £600 to fix. Adverts, dont get me started,
what about the fucking Norwich Union / Aviva one. I've go an idea, rather than spend £5 million on a load of cunts I couldn't give a fuck about telling
me how important their name that isn't their name is, how about spending £6 an hour on someone with an IQ over 5 that can answer a fucking simple question
about my home and contents insurance (i.e. "Am I covered for accidental damage if, say, I was to drop a 42 inch LCD TV" ). Cunts

Aviva missed a trick when they failed to end on "Would half the defence have been sold under Llewellyn Curbishley's nose?"

42 inch TV's are for poofs!
80 inch LG with Bose surround sound system. One of the benefits of living in the country where the (man sized ones) are made. |

& to think it was only a couple decades ago a black & white portable with a knob for tuning in programmes and an ariel attached to it were the dogs
bollocks when you were a teenager.
Anyway I'm just sat here watching the banks share prices slide into oblivion....you dont need a 42inch screen for this. |

Lyon are expected to complete the signing of West Ham winger Julien Faubert. (The Times)
West Ham have stepped up their pursuit of Brescia striker Savio. (Daily Star) In-form West Ham manager Carlton Cole looks set for a call-up into Fabio Capello's England squad. (The Times) |

Mangler - your TV...
Do you know about the 1979 Sale of Goods Act, which states that anything purchased from a shop must last "a reasonable length of time"? If you can be fucked to do some internet work on this, you could probably harrass the shop that you bought your LCD TV from to repair it (or replace it or refund the money) as two years is not likely to be considered "a reasonable length of time". That would've applied to your old plasma set as well. |

Just a thought. |

The only reason he's being mentioned is because he's in form and Capello picks on form. If he picked solely on footballing skills then C. Cole would be
nowhere near the frickin B squad.
Good luck to the boy though, if anything it puts him in the shop window. You never know, some muggy Italian club might have a punt. |

badbeat wrote:Badbeat, you miss the point. You were being slagged off for stupidity, not a typo. Although, my own typo is particularly clever, being almost mock-Freudian in its substitution of a 't' for an 'r' thus giving a somewhat mammary ring to the word, most appropriate given my favourite subject. |

But Surface, you miss the point. I may be stupid, but at least I can fucking spell.

Scanners, i reckon bitching about what other people want to talk about is s significantly duller then either TV's or Food.
And whilst Badbeat can spell, he clearly can't do wit or irony. Back on Subject, Sky have Osvaldo to Bologna and us not talking to Bresica about their youngster yet either. |

They're right about one of them, Rotter - as you'll notice from the subtle title of my thread last night: "No Osvaldo Then".
But they're wrong if they say weren't enquiring about Savio... |

Sorry Hackmeister, wasn't online yesterday as Medici forced me to drink beer, so i didn't see your fascinating thread today as there was far too much
going on with Heston and Little Chef to be worrying about Football.
On the Savio issue, it seems that he has two agents, one in Germany and one in Italy. The German is pouring the cold water. But then it is on SKY and therefore instantly suspect. |

Wasn't one of his representatives at the Fulham game?
And in the Sky report it does say we're after him, they just choose to focus on the bit that says we're not in negotiations yet...
