However, has anyone else noticed that Meech, the excellent interpreter character was also one of the recent token Asians, Tariq in Eastenders?
What a sad fucker I am.

Only 7 episodes unfortunately (and yes I did notice the Eastenders link)
As combat scenes go I thought that sequence by the blocked bridge was brilliantly done. |

I think it's done by the same bloke who produced The Wire. He seems to like English based actors as the 2 main characters in The Wire, McNulty and Stringer
Bell are both English. The actor who plays(ed) Bell used to work at Fords Dagenham.
Just as sad as you. |

I don't like it.
It's written by some hand-wringing left-winger that doesn't like or understand soldiers. |

Not all hand-wringing lefties hate soldiers.
There's Robbo and Billy Bragg and... erm... that's about it, really. |

I've never seen it.
I do have a Season One box-set that I've been loaned on recommendation, but these things are like crack. Once you open and get into one, you find yourself saying "Just one more episode" at ten to four in the morning. There are aspects of Generation Kill that are brilliantly done, but I haven't yet found empathy with any of the characters. I hope that most of them get killed every episode. And Mangler, every time that Meech is on screen, I find myself shouting "GARY!" in a stupid voice |

I'm a huge Sopranos fan and apparently The Wire's an obvious next thing to watch. I've seen 5 episodes so far. It's not as addictive and a
little bit of a slow burner, but really well crafted. I'm hanging out for Watchmen at the moment. (at least till Step Up 3 comes out) I do love a good
dance.

I had rephrased it. I'm that excited. You going to watch it Surface?

Has it got batarangs and x-ray vision and power rings and cosmic treadmills and magic lassoes and invisible martians and ninth metal belts and dwarf star
size/weight ratio controls and boxing glove arrows in it? Has it got a bloke who can talk to fish?
If so, I'm up for it.

Apart from the boxing glove arrows, it ticks all your prerequisite boxes mate.

I've seen all GK's bar this weeks.
It's quite good. No Soprano's, Wire nor Wild at Heart for that matter, but it's very watchable. Can't be any worse than Law & Order UK. Anyone see that docu/film about the kids from England who travelled around the world to try and see Maradona? T'was on *throws up* BBC 4 the other night? That was quite good. |

Law and Order UK is proof that we're crap (CRAP) at re-making anything that's decent and American.
They get crack dealers and mafioso, we get people taking the batteries out of Carbon Monoxide detectors. |

Except for Spooks - the British 24.
The difference there is they have nukes going off in LA, we stop them in time. Harry Pearce is one of the greatest TV characters ever, in my humble. |
