Where are you getting that from? I thought they weren't released until 10am? Sky slipped up yesterday and put some fixtures up and they had us at home to
the Arse for the opening game.

Don't worry HHS, this story is the wood peony of the football blogging world.
Every June this bursts into blousy flower at about 8am on the day the fixtures are announced only to fall of the stem four hours later and be replaced in the garden by more substantial blooms... |

No it's not Joey, it's Wolves away.
I had this argument last year and the year before with people on WHO. Every year they claim he gets the fixtures right, every year he gets them wrong... |

*googles wood peony* Indeed, I was just surprised because WH seemed to be posting that as fact.
There was actually an unseasonably interesting link on WHO the other day about how fixtures are arrived at. Each club is allowed to make some requests (home on first day, home for Boxing Day etc...) but that several clubs are linked together so, for instance, we are never at home on the same day as Southend. In turn, Southend can't be at home on the same day as Colchester, who can't be at home on the same day as Ipswich, and then Norwich and so on. Apparently our fixtures can affect up to 8 other clubs. The most interesting part is that the Police, clubs and TV companies all get substantial time to review the list but the fans (via the FSF) get 40 minutes to review and make any objections. Which is presumably how you can have West Ham playing away to Wigan on a Wednesday night, and highlights beautifully where we fall in the list of priorities. |

Don't blame you Moxy. Had the very same argument last night when I was ASSURED this particular poster always gets it right.
Truth is, the fixtures don't come out of the computer until this morning so to correctly name them the day before either makes this guy a psychic, extraordinarily lucky....or wrong... BTW, we finish at home to Man City... |

Your point is well backed up from what has happened before - undeniable, but only from other halfwits guessing games !
Spurs at home whilst camping at the V festival in Chelmsford could be messy !!! |

I used to get the fixture list early when my brother worked at the Mail. It felt like I was ITK for a couple of hours.
Good times. |

But a very good run in, which is usually key to claiming that prized Europa cup spot.
