AMoCS. I think the cocker has distress issues, rather than rage, but I take your point.
And yes, Dag, the ex did get the dog as well. Cunt.

OBE - Get a Springer. They are a bit bigger than a Cocker, and very stupid and also need a lot of attention, particularly for the first year. But they are very
unaggressive, very affectionate and a good family pet, IF you can give them that first year attention. If not, and you leave them alone all day they will shred
your living room. If Mrs OBE is not working, that would the best time to get one. Their ears are a problem when they get older, though.

While we're on the subject, has anyone on here kept ferrets? Brilliant pets...

ah, maybe it was a springer she said....must listen closer, think maybe it was a springer.........that sounds less troublesome....though we both work (in fact
she rarely stops)
Not had ferrets but kept two rats a few years ago with a previous Mrs OBE, they great fun, clean, friendly, quiet, but do tend to eat just about anything, sofas, t shirts etc..... |

I would suggest the two dogs I would recommend are the Tibetan Terrier (not really a terrier more of a small guard dog) fantastic animal big character, loves
all members of the family equally, do not smell or shed and a good size, the other would be a bearded collie just big dollops
I used to keep ferrets great little things but you have to handle them all the time to keep them from getting vicious |

I like the idea of an Irish Setter. Great looking dogs and supposedly massive energy in them.

Ive heard they have a tendancy to escape from a few places actually. There is a rescue in Colchester actually. Im currently trying to tempt the Mrs into making
the trip, knowing full well she will fall in Love.

My wife's friend has an Irish Wolfhound. It's like they have a fifteen-stone mentally handicapped man living with them.

Get a tortoise, leaf of lettuce every day and none of the other hassle - and the fuckers sleep for the whole winter.
Dan - are we talking like having Harvey about the house? |

Perhaps the dog-lovers on here would enlighten me. Why would anyone buy a dog smaller than, say a Cocker or bigger than a German Shepherd?
I don't get it. If you want a small pet, buy a rat or a gerbil or maybe a cat. If you want some gigantic thing, buy a pony. |

Surface mate its all down to buying an accessory or having a small cock, most people dont really look into why they want a dog or how it suits their lifestyle
and the amount of time you put into a dog, hence rescue centres crammed to the hilt

After all these years I've finally looked up the word "Kernewek".
I have to say I'm surprised it's not a town in Canada. |

Chin if you both work full time you really shouldn't get a dog, if you just want a dog to walk from time to time you shuold just be a dog walker for your
local rescue centre, they need the help and it's good to get out on a nice long walk at weekends.
Irish Wolfhounds are great dogs but hate being left alone for more than an hour. |

Surface I choose my dog based on my lifestyle and family, it's one of only a few breeds the KC recommends with children, is not very active in home, does
not wonder, is non barking, so is no good as a watch dog at night, but a great guard dog, but loves everyone and everything, has the down side of the
occasional slobber and does things in his time not yours though and I guess that is what puts off a lot of owners.

Any of you dog lovers ever come across a Pomeranian? Wife wants one but has to be hidden from our complex management as pets not allowed.

JD - what do you have?
for Pomeranian - think of something that Paris Hilton would have. |
