I think this is pure paper talk anyway. If and when Bellamy finally puts pen to paper I think it'll be unlikely that we'll sign another striker, whether Carlos stays or goes. Realistic targets who could improve our squad like Defoe or possibly Nugent look unlikely to happen for one reason or another and so going a level/s below their ability would just be a signing for the sake of a signing, like Pardew did this last year with signing 3 poor right backs.
