One of the best midweek aways I've been to in a long time. I was happy after the Boro win but last night tops it. Blackpool was all over the pace from the off and I was confident that we ought to win early doors. Having said that any 1-4 result against a team on a very good league run is not to be sniffed at when it's 11 v 11 never mind when we have our GK sent off early in the 2nd. I believed it was a straight red at the time and very annoyed with Green because I thought our CH would have been able to deal with it but those that have seen replays are saying he was not last man so my first instinct may be wrong. Lansbury didn't have much to so, one corner basically but collected the ball nicely and kicked very well. The whole team were protecting him and worked so hard stopping what efforts the Blackpool players did make in attacking. He looked small but so did Jimmy Walker and he was did well enough. Having said that I would very much like Green back in goal on Saturday. Very pleased with Maynard and Vaz Te who is a player who has the ability to annoy. One minute seems off the pace and next plays brilliantly. Noble was absolutely outstanding but I am not entering into any Nolan hating. If you can't celebrate the win and performance without laying into another West Ham player than it's a sad place to be.

Allardyce also must be congratulated. The team he sent out was spot on, the way they fight tooth and nail for each other highlights what a great job he has done turning a bunch of losers into a team that is so tough it rusts.
