Is there anyone here who doesn't know that goals per start will flatter a regular sub striker? Or that goals per appearance will do the opposite for a regular sub striker?

No? Then can we stop it, please? It's a tedious misuse of statistics and is proving nothing..
Or look at the stats in more detail.  He has 5 in 16 starts.  Put him on to start and he is a 1 in 3 striker, which is at the very least acceptable, at best pretty good.

Off the bench maybe he is less effective.

As for an AMOCS agenda, I don't know whether you have one re: Reid but you do re: Baldock.

As far as I can see he is doing a fairly good job for a team top of the Championship, and if we go up he might be stay as a 4th / 5th choice, and he might go to another top Championship club (or maybe another promoted club will take a punt on him).  You can argue that he offers little else, you can argue he has reached his level, but sorry, to slate a striker for a couple of misses when the chances were due in no small part to his speed of thought and feet, when his scoring record ain't bad, when he is fairly new to the club... poor form and pointless IMHO.

You're view seems to be that he is not good enough for us, which implies to me that you think he is a Forest / Millwall level at best.  I think this is wrong, or have I got the wrong end of your stick?
