I think people are over reacting big time over Baldock's two misses (the third wasn't a chance Moxy, it was taken off his foot in a free for all) - he was on the pitch for 20 minutes, fashioned two chances for himself by making intelligent runs and though the second was an easier chance he just didn't get the right connection, as he opened his body. If we looked at all our strikers or indeed midfield players most have missed a couple of chances in many games, yet I haven't seen anyone suggest they are not good enough. Baldock came to the club thinking he was going to be played up top, instead he's been shunted out to the right side, but still scored 5 goals when played in the correct position, so surely that shows he can score goals at this level. There isn't much difference between this league and the one he came from, there aren't many teams that have premiership quality defences are there? If we cunt everyone off then we would only have half a team. For example I'm a Nolan fan, but in a few games he's missed some sitters but not many have concluded he's not doing his job, so why people slate Baldock who is played out of position or starts on the bench is beyond me ... if he starts in his actual position and doesn't score then people have the right to moan.
Good post, Pezza.

Rob is right in the fact that he probably won't make it at West Ham. To me, he doesn't show any real signs of being a PL striker capable of scoring 10+ league goals (last one we had was Ashton I think?)... But that doesn't mean certain fans should be childish and set their stalls out ultra early on a player and not change their opinion no matter how well he does.
