Hmmm, transfers will be affected by the contracts our current team/squad possess, come next season a number will be in their penultimate contract year, so if buyers dont come looking (and based on performances to date many won't) we may be forced to stick with them, despite the club's intention to make them available for sale to avoid having a number free agents on the books the following season. In addition a number are in their mid 30's so one last hurrah on the Premiership gravy train, considering the finances that come with it, may suit their pockets very nicely thank you.

We all know the team/squad needs an overhaul to stay in the Premiership, if we do go up and are on par with the likes of Fulham/Swansea/Norwich next season we have a fighting chance to achieve this, because Wigan, Wolves and Blackburn have been perenially down there and seem favourites to go down this year, with Bolton and QPR having the resources and personnel to survive, so it looks likely the bottom half of the division will be stronger next season.

Will our survival next season be a true test of Sam's credentials, rather than our promotion this season?
