I'd be interested to know the tone of what Sam said to Maynard when he gave him the hook. "Don't worry, son. It wasn't going to be your day. You're first pick on Wednesday...I fancy you to score..." or more "my missus could've scored..."

Thought he looked very down when he walked off, and a bit bemused at the final whistle.

Not sure it was the right decision as we looked more fluid with him on the pitch, but the result might suggest otherwise

Strikes me that the way home team starts dictates the nature of our away performances. If they come out of the blocks fast (Derby, Reading, Ipswich) it puts us out of our stride. If we get the chance to impose ourselves, we win the war of attrition (too many to mention)
