That's the key reason for their impending doom as I understand it... they have no money and any significant sums due to come in are due to go straight back out on 'football debts' which apparently includes repaying irresponsible former owners responsible for the mess in the first place.


The HMRC case challenging the football creditor rule, was predicted to be at the verdict stage sometime this month (trial started in November, estimated to take 3 months). If HMRC win and gain equal ranking in the order in which creditors are paid, it may mean there is less pressure by them, to liquidate Portsmouth.

Of course, we have a great track record of court cases going in our favour.
