Excellent piece, amocs - your best yet, for me.

I've just printed it off to give to a Watford supporter at work.

Only bit I'd question is the opening line:
Watford fans are celebrating the appointment of Gianfranco Zola as manager and Gianluca Nani technical director following the sacking of previous boss Sean Dyche by new club owners the Pozzo family

The bloke at work is a 'proper' fan, and was gutted Sean Dyche was sacked - reckoned he did really well to finish 11th, finishing the season strongly, and all with very little resources, having had all their best players sold at beginning of season.

Only defence of Zola is that he did have all his best players sold from under him at WHU, and I'm not sure any manager would've been able to cope with that. It could be different at Watford, as this time the Pozzo family do have money apparently.

Also, I don't think Nani was really brought to WHU by Curbishley, but rather the idea of a Technical Director was introduced by Duxvury, and grudgingly accepted by Curbishley, who then participated in the selection/ interview process.
