I would have thought that Wigga (white nigger) is probably racist due to the fact that it is used as a derogatory term to describe a white kid acting like a black man.

Similarly, calling a black bloke Uncle Tom is basically saying the fella is the compliant slave (ie your bitch / dogsbody / gofor).

Surely it all depends on the manner it is said and how it is received. I have had a laugh with black blokes about Uncle Tom, but only black blokes I know well and who I know have a sense of humour. I wouldn't dream of saying it to someone on the street I had never met.

Whenever I've witnesses proper racist behavior (bloke shouting nigger at football, colleague saying to another that he could entice him out of a tree with a banana) it does sound shocking. The difficulty with racism is that in certain situations words can be used, when in other situations the same words are deemed racist.

Black-on-black use of the word nigger is OK. White-on-black use of the word nigger is not OK. Surely the fact that only certain coloured people can use a word is racist in itself.

The whole subject of politically correct wording regards race is a fucking minefield.
