Muslim veils offend me.
Veils worn for cultural / local custom reasons offend me; more so when they're worn under the pretence of religious necessity.

But it's pretty much all cultural.

How about a religion/culture which thinks that women need to be 'saved' from men's lustful desires by covering them up?

How about a religion/culture which thinks that men will be driven to rape if they happen to see a woman's hair?

How about a religion/culture which thinks that a woman's hair should be covered up - for her own sake - and yet which condones plenty of other adornments (jewellery, makeup etc) which are designed expressly to make the woman attractive?

How about a religion/culture which sexualises pre-pubescent girls by requiring them to wear veils, thereby implying that otherwise men would want to rape them?
