Can get some of that Dan. I'd argue that it seems to be the individuals who get caught who carry the vast majority of the reputational hit. The sponsors and team jump on the individual and tuck into them along with the media. They seem to escape much collateral damage. And the argument against the money riding on it is Lance - if he can do it (and I know he's never been caught) then anyone can.

I'm not cynically having a go (not that you said I was) - I want cycling and all other sports to be clean. It doesn't really diminish my enjoyment of them that they aren't - we all know that doping gives you the capacity to train even harder, it's not that a magic pill makes you faster. My big problem with it is the long term health issues for the athletes.

And for the 'holier than thou' crowd who want to write them off as cheating cunts - it's interesting how illogical behaviour can get normalised in certain environments and drugs in sport is just another example along with the volume of coffee we drink, the amount of alcohol we consume, the volume and shitness of food we eat and amount of stuff we buy that we don't need. And that's just me.

I read the article Joey posted. Pretty damming unfortunately.
