The Paralympics is the 21st-century version of a circus-freak show where spectators go to patronise the competitors and ultimately take satisfaction in their own physical well-being. This year, 10s of millions will be encouraged by the BBC to indulge in this mawkish, yet uncivilised act.

There is NOTHING wrong with disabled sport. There is EVERYTHING wrong with anyone other than the families of the competitors being even remotely interested.
