I'm all for taking the mickey out of the paraolympics especially on here. Blind football etc

But my real feeling is that it is fucking incredible and there is NOTHING (I think the caps is de riguer) in wanting see these athletes first and foremost compete and also see how they have overcome, learned to deal with , made the best of the shit hand they have been dealt to swim run throw, shoot hoops, score goals or whatever. Now the dwarf olympics on that C4 documentary granted.

As badbeat says its inspirational.

So I totally disagree with you Surfy that its a freak show and that people watch it to feel better about themselves. If anything I feel about more shit about myself.

Although massive caveat...if its means every train and tube journey is delayed as they roll out 'the ramp' then I'll be in the paraolympics out camp. The station staff at Brentwood, you would they think had been asked to push the train to Liverpool st when they get the call to roll out the ramp. Faces like Dan L in the morning.
