FF - I fear BFS will start as he did last season, respect the point, 0 - 0 draws or sneak the odd win, be hard to beat and be minimalistic on committing players forward, then when we are safe start opening hop a bit. All fine and dandy from a logistical perspective but fuck me we will have a load of bored supporters paying top money to watch dross week in week out, and I reckon on that basis BFS will be sacked come xmas anyway ....

I like the signings but surely with the season just 3 weeks away he should now be honing the playing style and more importantly the personnel. Valencia played three world cup games about four weeks ago and is now deemed unfit for three weeks, which in BFS speak means we are unlikely to see him until xmas. Zarate, who is the new number 10 won't get a look in as our captain plays there, so will be an impact sub, the only viable situation is Cresswell and Poyet may start with Kouyate a nailed on starter - I've been really impressed with Poyet, who appears to be able to keep the ball and play with energy and passes forwards.

I'm also not sure I can see much improvement on dear old Carlton's runs after being schooled by Ted, mind you with the number of brain cells he has I think it might take some time ....
