Unless I am mistaken Sam tried, in one of the pre season games, to get the team playing the open attacking football we want to see and we were soundly beaten, it is interesting that as the start of the season draws near the team are showing signs or playing like last season, solid defensively and not creatiung too many chances up front, he will tweak things - maybe for domestic Cup games - I don't see much to read into these 4 team European Cup competitions, aside from its a fitness exercise and a chance for more duty free. I just hope we don't get any more long term injuries to key players.

Remember the team were in NZ just a couple of weeks ago and nobody is making reference to that expedition and how it may have reflected on our pre season performance in Germany.

This season again tells me we are better than some teams but not the majority, so another mid table position is on the cards, maybe a win against a top 6 side to appease us but if we have another season of consolidation, what's not to like.
