I've said it before and I'll fucking say it again by God. We just need to do anything quickly that would be a start and that Jarvis chance, what the fuck was that about, I could have done better, and I'm incredibly shit.

I'd quite like us to spend loads of money on a player and for him to, not get injured, be worth the money and be a class player.

We are slow, especially passing.  Though maybe if BFS convinced the players we were going the opposite way to what we were we might get th eball forward quickly due to erroneouly thinking we were going backwards which we seem to be able to do at pace.

That Jarvis touch was a dodgy final touch before the shot.  I refuse to judge a player on one chance, and I refuse to judge a player over a game (Zarate) or season / two (Jarvis / Downing) when I don't believe that any of them have really be given the support to show their best.

Trouble is with your last sentence that we don't get any luck and for the sort of money we spend (tops) you get players like Carroll and Jarvis and Downing who are clearly talented in their ways, but not top class week in week out, especially in a team a lot better defensively than going forward.
