Dicks wants '2 up front' which means 1 less in midfield. 

Obviously one can drop deeper, but then we only have one up front and the problem of our lack of 'dynamism' as you put it will presumably come to the fore again.

Our issue is not that we have one up front instead of two, it is that the two wide men and nolan do not get in the box or near the striker often enough.

If our second striker is in midfield then whose to say he's going to get forward any better, and besides that would be 1 up front when Dicks has clearly said he wants 2 up front.

I just do not buy why we need to do what relatively few teams do and go "2 up front" (to use dick's words - not "2 strikers on the pitch" as you imply he said).  Still, I'm sure dicks is a better manager than BFS.  FFS.
