Was Sinatra's the place where you would pay something like £15 and get free drinks all night? Except that rather than Jack Daniels, it would be a cheap and nasty alternative called something like Rebel Yell. There was also a similar club on Clapham High St, that was in some way related. They both used be full of some ropey old birds.

I once had to work in Preston for a couple of weeks setting up an office for the company I was with, got taken out one night to one of those classy places, think it was called Manhattan's - their setup was you paid £10 to get in, and all your drink was free (but you could only order two at a time) until the first person went to the toilet.  Had bouncers on the doors to the loos who radioed down as soon as someone went, at which point a siren would go off and the place would basically empty out as it was such a dump nobody wanted to stay there and actually pay for drinks.  At this point you would see where people had decided to have a piss - basically any dark corner was a repugnant swamp, it was running down the walls, and there were many, many glasses filled with a yellowish coloured liquid that was neither lager or cider (or custard).

It was brilliant and horrible all at the same time
