Certainly don't want to sound like a Nolan 'defenderist' but he also created (with Downing) our second best chance of the day - putting it down to great work from Loris rather than a Downing miss. He's by no means 'undroppable' (or at least shouldn't be) but what he brings in terms of goal threat and leadership (can't see another natural leader out there at the moment) is worth persevering with for a few more games for me.

I felt Vaz looked disinterested and prone to bottling it. Appreciate he has a 'languid' style but him and Carlton would be the ones I'd be replacing on the next team sheet.
