I can't really believe some of this; I thought there were enough crazy comments by morons on Twitter and this was the place for a reasoned argument!

Nolan; I don't get the criticism yesterday. From where I was sat he worked hard, lead well and created a couple of chances. I think he is suffering because the "support" see him as the embodiment of Big Sam on the pitch and therefore love to get on his back unecessarily.

Noble, for all his endeavour in wanting the ball, slowed the game down awfully at times when a quicker first ball would have got us on the attack. He is guilty of either taking too many touches or too long to spot/play the pass that will unlock the defence and therefore loses us attacking impetus. In the second half Vaz Te (another who seems to get a lot of stick) made several great runs inside their right back but it just wasn't spotted or picked out by Noble. I like Noble in general but I think given our style of play he is a passenger nowadays.

Kouyate was excellent (MOM for me), Cresswell and Downing also looked good. Cole is shot to bits and I wouldn't be unhappy if I never saw him again - the joke has long worn off now. Who said he holds the ball up well? He doesn't. He might hold it up twice a game but the other twenty times it comes to him it either bounces off him or he falls over. He still hasn't learnt how to draw/win a foul either. Sheringham needs to sort him the fuck out.

As gutting as it was to lose in that manner we hardly played as badly as some would have you believe and a draw would have been a fair result.
