Noble is a strange one... I can see the criticism, but then you have Tony Gale on the commentary saying that he is our best passer of the ball and its a mystery why he's never had a sniff of the england team. I agree he is too slow in seeing and making the pass forward (and when we switch wings. Incendentally opposition defences have pretty much got time to amble over to the bench, take on some fluids, get instructions on tactics and get back into position before the opposite wide man has it for west ham when we try to get the ball cross field).

I think noble's position is a difficult one, and I don't think we've got anyone to play it better. we might well have 6 or 7 better midfielders but that doesn't necessarily mean that our best midfield doesn't include noble. I would like to see us try with a more powerful and dynamic midfield (kayoute diame and morrison could be unplayable on their day) but, setting morrison aside for one minute for obvious reasons, i'm not convinced that for all a kayoute / diame partnership would give the side there is plenty it would lack.
