I'm not saying we were fantastic, but a penalty, Vaz Te and Kouyate headers, Downing and Noble through on Lloris. Proper chances.

Then the usual half chances we force.

Spurs are a top side and we were the equal. If we can create 5 genuine chances against Spurs then against the teams around us we should be able to create more and won't face the standout keeper in the league Lloris.

There wasn't so much a change style but an improvement in the quality of the players. Tomkins for Collins, Jenkinson or a fully fit Demel for O'Brien and hopefully Valencia (fingers crossed) for Vaz or Cole. We should be fine.
Spot on Monk, this season we have better options in Zarate, Sakho, Valencia, Kouyate and Jenkinson than what we had on offer last, Boriello, Petric, Johnson and Nocerino, therefore the squad is stronger and the team should also be stronger. In addition we have AC to add to the mix too.  I think it is early days but one or 3 of those mentioned will show their worth this season and established 1st team players may be find themselves watching from the sidelines. Carltton and Vaz Te, probably, also with the question mark over Jarvis, one spot on the left is defo up for grabs, I believe what is missing is that centre midfield player who can drive us forward (quickly) and see the early runs to make the telling pass, I wonder is Amalfitano that player?
