Nolan had a decent game. He usually has a decent game unless he is recovering from an injury. One of these days somebody will credit Allardyce with the ability to pick a team based on merit.

The players got booed off at half time for some reason, possibly because there was a general feeling that Carroll is only any good in the air, Nolan is a cunt, Noble is slow, Vaz Te has been outed, we haven't built a team round Ravel and we weren't winning 8 - 0.
That reason for the booing would be that they were not passing the ball quick enough, we had Nolan at the tip of the diamond and he created nothing, a change at half time had Downing there and further forward and Valencia pressing higher up the pitch and making diagonal forward runs, plus we  moved the ball better, except Noble, he had a shocker, his own fault IMO, he played a shocking pass tried to rectify it with a crazy tackle and got booked, that screwed his game up, rightly hooked off. We made Hull look good, a better side would have buried THAT chance in the first half and it may have been a different story. Ginge was immense.
