I thought Nolan did well second half a bit deeper; chased and harried and forced their midfield into making quick decisions which were wrong, but it was hi spressue on the man which forced the issue. He was a bit of a passenger first half but then the entire team seemed a bit lethargic apart from Ginge who was a rock. Tomkins had an absolute shocker first half and I think he should have been yanked off if Collins wasn't injured; Reid came on and provided calm and quiet assurance at the back which seemed to calm us down.

Amalfitano isn't a 90 minute player but provides a sprinkle of class and his finish was pure silk. Second half we were a much different prospect, once Carroll bundled in the first it was game over really. Downing shone and Song got his obligatory MOM to try and persuade him to sign up when it really should have been Valenica.

Overall a fantastc day in the winter sun and anyone who finds something to boo about is a little bit bonkers if you ask me.
