I've been critical of Sam, and probably still will be, but I can understand delaying a making a big change like that (and the necessary instructions) until half-time. It may be possible that interim information went out to players in an effort to stem the tide - perhaps to get Song to sit in front of the back 4 a bit more. It's hard to tell from my front room whilst distracted by a plate of chicken wings( Sainsbury's). I prefer, in this instance, to give credit to Sam for seeing where it was wrong, change if effectively, clearly put a rocket up the players' arses and then, surprisingly, admit where he had it wrong.


The booing, at any time, is cringe-worthy - but then again, I wasn't there. I was looking for the Snickers Flapjacks.
