So everyone's got one. I think Nugent is a decent player in the Bellamy mould.

Harry's by no means unique, but because he's got the media-friendly persona of a cheeky chappie, neutral fans think that he's great for football.
A Pompey mate of mine always accused me of just being sour when he was down there, if I highlighted any of his flaws - I can point and laugh at him now. I was a big advocate for him getting the England job, I think he's a very good manager and was easily the best available English candidate at the time. Taking transfers and money out of the equation might have been the making of him. But the thing about him is (And I've meet the bloke and interviewed him on many occasions) for all this loveable, working class crap, he actually can't stand most of the punters and looks down his nose at anyone a pound behind him. Everything will always come down to money, whether it was how little he had back in the day, or how shrewd he is at turning a profit. He'll admit to the occasional ricket, but have you ever seen an interview where he's been asked to justify the legacy of the Rio Ferdinand transfer fee? You never will either, because he's great for copy and most football journos are webbed up enough to realise that if they do put him on the spot, then all future exclusives are down the shitter. You only have to look at the petulant and childish way that Ferguson, Redknapp and Allardyce won't speak to the BBC because someone dared to criticise them. Allardyce, rather than lose his cosy place on the football gravy-train, actually hung his own son out to dry! It's a shit business. Horrible little players, horrible managers, agents, journalists and pundits. They're all along for the ride. Harry Redknapp is a very good manager, of that I have no doubt, but like most of his colleagues, he really is a thoroughly nasty peice of work. |

I rather wish that Harry, like Brian Clough, HAD been England manager so that we could replace all the endless years of 'if only' talk about how good
they would have been with a far shorter period of how crap they actually ARE as England managers which once they were sacked we could all forget, or at least
have a good laugh about once the pain subsided.

To be honest, as angry as everyone appears about this issue, I'm really not bothered.
Bellamy and Redknapp are both nasty pieces of work and deserve each other. This episode barely figures on Harry's crime-sheet ... |

Agreed.
Just a minor little sordid chapter that wouldn't even make his top ten. And Bellamy? Always been a horrible little cunt. |

Yeah but i'd prefer him to be OUR horrible little cunt.
Went to one of those do's last night - Tony Gale slated Redknapp. Liked the line "You can always tell when harry is lying - his face twitches" |

If Bellamy isn't to be seen tomorrow we know there's truth in today's stories.
Agree with Dormski about him being ours, but now it appears he's not so fuck him. How sweet will it be if he and Spurs do go down .... Let us pray . |

But isn't this just the same as what we did to Birmingham over Upson, for example.
Course, Bruce and Sullivan kicked up a big stink about it, which was totally hypocritical cos they'd done the same thing together when Bruce left Palace. All clubs with money do it to clubs with less money, but then they all scream about injustice and morals when someone does it to them. (David Levy, of course, the biggest hypocrite of them all, laughably writing to the FA about Ferguson and Benitez) |

I agree with everything AMOCS and other are saying, fuck it, they deserve each other.
I guess it's just me being deluded again that there is some sense of loyalty, pride, playing by the rules in this fucked up game that we grew up and used to love so much. Each day that passes with this kind of shit, the paper rumour bollocks, sly phone calls here and there to unsettle players knowing that once the ball starts rolling theres not much to stop it, all the Sky Sports over the top hysteria, the tens of millions flying around for players, the fact that players can turn up at training, clear out thier locker, say goodbye and then fuck off without any formal deal being made for the player makes me fucking sick and fall a little more out of love with the game. I'm pleased they are together, and I would just love it if the fucking wheels fell off. If Tottenham actually went down with that saggy faced, bung loving cunt in charge and that arragont injury prone, overrated Welsh cunt stuck in a wheel chair for the rest of his life due to a broken back then that would do for me and would be on a par with actually winning something. |

"The saggy-jowelled, twitching, corrupt, back-hander taking, player-unsettling, baggy, droopy faced, you meant to kick it in the goal and hit me no wonder
you're in the reserves story-repeating cunt"
Surely an appropriate epitaph for him? Sheriff, you think Nugent is a player in the Bellamy mould? In what way? From what I have seen of him he is about as far away from a pacey small striker as you can get. |

Ted Nugent is much better than Bellamy or the Nugent at Portsmouth.
I've still got his Live Gonzo album and I'll still be playing long after I've forgotten who the other tossers are. |
