Rumours abound that we have signed them both.

Season loans with the option to buy, a la Ilunga by the looks of things.

The odd thing in The Sun story is that it talks about looking to sign one of them next summer and then immediately links that with an immediate need to sell
Upson. I can't figure out if the line about selling Upson now has legs - which I fear - or whether it has just become a standard three or four paragraph
filler at the end of every West Ham story.

Anyone else got that Tevez/Masch feeling brewing in their underpants again?

Bob - The Sun says we're ready to sell Upson and quotes that we want £15m. I think the board wouldn't really want to sell, but that's a huge amount
for a 30 year old defender, and if if anyone bids that amount, I'd expect us the grab it with both hands.

It all sounds so sensible, but can anyone name an occasion (players with attitude problems - Bellamy for example - excepted) where we have sold one of our best
4-5 players and it has - long term - been a good thing.

I liked Mancini a lot, especially when the bald old silly presented The Big Match that time.
I know he was good at Arsenal and Orient, but I can't help but worry he might be a bit old now. |

I know nuffink about Jiminez and only a little about Mancini, so can anyone who knows the difference between good head carriage and a smack in the mouth give me the DL please? I just went to WHO for probably the first time in over 2 years and one of the threads was entitled "Should i be concerned if my piss smells like cider" and on another betting thread a poster was thanking another poster for giving him a winning horse and he actually said "I've got to give props to ******" Now if someone on here was giving out the mad props then I am 99% sure it would be with tongue in cheek, but this dude was like, totally serious. Peace. |

No Flash, I cant see a negative here, unless of course we dont register them properly, or they moves get hijacked............by Spurs. I watched Italy U21 last night and saw Balotelli and Giovinco play. If we could grab them two aswell, I will be in the full on stalk club. |

I am told Mourinho gave the go-ahead to both deals yesterday afternoon.
Both are epected to put pen to paper very soon. We are also negotiating a third identical deal for a player even better than those two. If it happens (quite a big 'if' imho) then it will guarantee a terrific summer. Flash: Jiminez is a Sheringham-style player. Not exactly a striker, not exactly a midfielder. I'd guess Zola wants him to sit off a front man (Ashton or Cole). Mancini is a fantastic winger. Again, I'd guess the plan is to start him on the right, then switch him to the left when Behrami returns. But what do I know... |

Mancini has a wierd thing where he controls the ball with the outside of his foot.

Flash... Mancini...large Robert Earnshaw forehead. Will rival Savio for the annual Doris Bell tefal trophy award.
Full of skill (thats not an african bum disease by the way), makes Kanoute seem tentative in the stepover stakes. Capello rated him as one of his best signings at Roma, can play full back, physically will be up for up for it. Roma fans loved him and Jose paid loads of dollar for him but just seems strange that he's ready to let him go as he's only late twenties. I got a hunch this might be Neill's replacment and he will be on Neills wages and I guess thats why he wants to come to us. I seem to remember being in for him in Jan and the Terry and Henry gags coming out then aswell. :-0 Jiminez, no idea, he's nicknamed 'The wizard' which is, well, wizard. Maybe he has a big wand, hahahahahahahhahahah Good though innit... Brazilian wingers..pronuncing players name with a raspy H as opposed to a J. This is the Zola Project alright. Also Flash those WHO thread titles made me laugh, back in the day when we were funny we used to have that shit going down....alas no more. |

There is no chance Mancini will be played as a right back if we get him. |
