Thought Cole was the best player on the pitch today. I know it's not Zolas and the West Ham way but when your are backs are against the wall you need to
play to your strenths at at present that should have been hitting Clichys channel with the early ball and then supporting Cole. Not all the time obviously but
more that we currently are because he had the beating of all their back four all afternoon and unless he is invloved we look toothless.

We were no more lucky than they were unlucky. The players' attitude and commitment even after a couple of bad errors kept us in the game and their ability
(improved no end by good coaching) got us the points.
Shame on the scum who booed us off at half time then fucked off early, don't bother coming back. If you want to see how shit our fans have become waste a bit of time on WHO where Zola apparently is shit and shouldbe replaced by Pardew, Noble is crap, Green and a few others need to be sold and we are definitely relegated. All posted by people a) not at the game, including one alleged 40 year vet who couldn't be bothered and b) have shit where their brains should be. Only our very own MDIAB said anything sensible. |

I know what you are saying. the booing half time grated a bit. But maybe you and I are wrong. IMHO Arsenal were horribly bad and never got out of first gear for the entire game. They were gifted two disgusting defensive error goals and went in 2-0 up. West Ham were worse than horribly bad until about 70 mins (?) when Zola made the substitutions. At that point, Arsenal, possibly suffering from being too well settled into the comfy chairs and choking on their cigars and port, were utterly unable to respond to the added impetus that Diamanti and Hines gave to West Ham. It's a cracking result (I would have taken it in a second before the game), but overall the West Ham performance was very, very, poor. I really hope that the result will galvanise the team. |

I will admit to watching it on TV. But that did mean that I saw the SP incident from about four feet. (Zoomed close-ups, you know.)
There's no way he handled that ball intentionally. |

I still think referees should be made to give a brief intervirew post match, just to explain their sometimes bizarre decisions, e.g. was Parker sent off for
handball or a foul? Or, what did he see to decide that the Parker / Gallas incident wasnt a penalty?

Even on TV evidence, I don't think you could argue with handball on that one to be honest, having just seen it on MOTD. Agree to disagree on that one?
Listening to the pundits, though, I do wonder if a dislike of West Ham is a pre-requesite contractual requirement. I think I'll almost feel disappointed if they ever find something nice to say about us. |

Hopefully the save at the end will buck Green's ideas up because I am getting fed up with him contributing to the oppositions goal tally on an almost a
weekly basis. I thought the formation and subs were much better, hopefully Zola has come to his senses and realised that his way was not the right way for West
Ham at the moment. My first viewing of Franco and I think he could do a job as long as he gets sensible service from midfield. Overall I think Arsenal were the
better side but I think if we hadn't have gifted them the opening goal we would have matched them more. Let's hope we can build on this result, the
players must have the same high as if it was a win, and get through a game without the stupid mistakes.

I don't think Green's ideas need to be be bucked up at all! He was, incidentally, impeded by his own player on the cross.
Just look at our goal difference compared to those around and well above us. Despite giving a couple of soft goals away today to one of the best teams in Europe, and still getting a result, we still have a pretty decent defensive record and, with improved forward play, the results will come. |

Well, if it was deliberate handball, Parker is quite clearly an idiot, because he would have known that it would be a yellow card and hence a sending off.
Still, he never has shown much commitment to the cause, so I guess you're right. |

Ian Mac. You are either blind or don't go to games. Our defence have been making stupid errors all season and today Green was at fault for the first goal.

I am neither. I do go to games and am blessed with the ability to see. If you suggest that our current position of 19th with a remarkably low GD of only -4 is a result of poor defending and particularly goalkeeping, I assume you will back this up with evidence of our freescoring ability.

I wonder if finally the players are actually getting fit enough to last 90 minutes. Goals are most likely to be conceded in the late stages of each half, and
we were very strong late on compared to the Arse who normally exemplify the importance of fitness regimes. Even with only ten on the pitch we looked strong and
up for it, Cole and Behrami in particular. I know it's been discussed by the last three managers, maybe they have finally sorted it.
