Massive game for us, win it and we are suddenly level pegging with a lot of other crap teams, lose it and we are well and truly in the mire. With Villa missing
a couple of key players it seems as good a time as any to take advantage of them.

When you put it like that Big C, I'd better go iron my replica shirt.
It could be one of those nights. |

I have enlisted Anton "never seen West Ham lose" the Dutchman for extra support for the next two games - he will join us in ITBS corner - victory is
therefore assured (or perhaps a draw)
Wakefield around six for mass fingernail biting |

Streams go up at 14:45. I would hope those goal-loving Iraqis would have something, but we might be hard pushed, what with it being Champions' League
night...

Anyone watch Milan and Madrid last night.
I still would pay to watch Keith the Teeth, the interchange with Clarence was sexy football that just wouldn't quit, well until he got tackled of course. I just wish he would that thing where he hits the bar on the volley a few times, thats what football is all about. Pato and Benzema are gonna be superstars. Billy is sooo gonna hate me but the two games they have played have had me more than any premership match this season. I am such a sucker for a greasy haircut and a pair of latin hips and yes I hate myself for it. |

Tony Finnegan's gonna go mental if Nigel takes abuse and Collins gets a warm welcome. Straight to the NAACP.
Monk you should have seen Sevilla v Real a few weeks ago. Luscious, reach-around football. Two stags rutting each other up. Hard tackling, no moaning, no diving. La Liga, friends. I tried Milan/Real last night but there's something so stifling about Match Choice. It's like you're totally locked in once you make the commitment. You've gotta focus, focus, focus. No ninnying about keeping half your mind on what's going on around the rest of football Europe. Total commitment. Respect, Monk. |

Is it actually possible to iron a replica shirt? I've never tried. And I stopped buying them after I got sucked into getting a navy blue one with 32 Tevez
on the back. Out of the ordinary.

I tell you what is real tough on match choice. Half Time!
Its bit like watching the unedited halftime highlights on the concourse at West ham. Endless replays from stupid camera angles and then cut to live crowd shot. Me and the commentators were at the mercy of the Italian TV director. One minute super slo mo on Kaka going down in the box, penalty or a dive ? a definite time for me and the commentators to chew the fat. But no we suddenly invade the San Siro Ultras sipping coffee and sharing a piece of panatone. Tough. But worth it. Inzaghi Raul Seedorf Pirlo add in Pamela Anderson and we've got all my adolescent wank material. |

I think we could all do with something going right for us at the moment.

Yes it is C. In 1981, my Mum ironed my addidas West Ham shirt and instantly it looked like I'd been in a fight with an animal. How I laughed!

Big C, your post is so inspiring I'm going to try and find a pub that will be showing the game - I'm thinking the Young Prince in Roman Road. It's
gonna be a special atmosphere, for sure

I've moved just round the corner from there, looks a bit 'cosy' though, can you vouch for quality Otis?

Aiden, I can't really. Some pubs are so "cosy" that it's like being in someone's front room- the Young Prince is narrow so it's like
being in someone's hallway. They do show the West Ham games, though - except when they don't show them obviously...
The Cuckoo in Wapping is a better pub(and has quite a swanky Pizza Express opposite to it) but I can't be bothered |

He just gave a pen to them (saved by green) for costa winning a clean header, he jumped so high that after he cleared the ball his knee hit the Villa players
head.
