If we looked at all our strikers or indeed midfield players most have missed a couple of chances in many games, yet I haven't seen anyone suggest they are not good enough. Baldock came to the club thinking he was going to be played up top, instead he's been shunted out to the right side, but still scored 5 goals when played in the correct position, so surely that shows he can score goals at this level. There isn't much difference between this league and the one he came from, there aren't many teams that have premiership quality defences are there? If we cunt everyone off then we would only have half a team. For example I'm a Nolan fan, but in a few games he's missed some sitters but not many have concluded he's not doing his job, so why people slate Baldock who is played out of position or starts on the bench is beyond me ... if he starts in his actual position and doesn't score then people have the right to moan.

Just like that notion that the GK was "sent the wrong way" by a penalty taker. It's what a girl (no offence Chesty) or know-nothing Journo. would say, for sure.

The same player playing in a different division, surely? And the levels of desperation for Baldock to succeed on here are I must say, beginning to look very needy. Quite apart from the ridiculous excuses being made that wouldn't for any other player...

It's a tedious misuse of statistics and is proving nothing..Or look at the stats in more detail. He has 5 in 16 starts. Put him on to start and he is a 1 in 3 striker, which is at the very least acceptable, at best pretty good. Off the bench maybe he is less effective.

That is the managers job end of. Allardyce is very quick to tell us that he shipped out X and brought in Y, another 3 in Jan. He has had a massive say in that squad. .
