Might as well vent our austerity-pinched spleens on here as anywhere else. I can see (just) why they think they need to do it, but why is it that historically intelligent business people - once they join West Ham - completely fail to predict the opinions and reactions of football supporters? Did Karren and the boys sit in a room with a whiteboard and a laser pointer and think "£75 before the season's over - yeah everyone will be fine with that. I reckon some will give us a hundred because they're so happy." I wonder what the plan would have been if we were currently in 18th place?
Anyway, you may not know that I went away for Christmas. Yes, really I did. Results were not good and I have to say that I'm realistic enough to only take partial blame for that. But I have returned and the good times are coming back, along with Dimitri Billong and Andy Carroll, replete with pointy party hat and an "I am 26" badge pinned to his training top (I'm guessing at his age so please - no letters).
It's a 14/15 away league game so we'll be awful for eight minutes, go one down while being slightly on top and then not lose. A baffling referee decision will be the main talking point.
